Which Wedding Collection Is Right for You?
There isn’t one amount of photography coverage that works for every wedding.
The right choice depends much more on your timeline than on the number of guests attending.
6 hours may be enough if:
Your ceremony and reception are close together, you have a relatively simple timeline, and you mainly want the central part of the wedding day documented.
8 hours may be right if:
You want some getting-ready coverage, the ceremony, portraits, family photographs, reception details, and important reception moments without feeling rushed.
10 hours may be the better choice if:
You have multiple locations, significant travel time, a larger wedding-day schedule, or want photography to continue well into the reception.

More Than the Hours on Your Wedding Day
When you book one of my wedding collections, the experience starts before the wedding itself.
Before booking, we can talk about your plans, venues, locations, and the amount of coverage you’re considering.
After booking, you’ll receive a detailed questionnaire so I can learn more about your timeline, family combinations, important relationships, traditions, and the moments you care about most.
As the wedding gets closer, we’ll review the photography timeline together.
My goal is not to build your wedding around photographs. It’s to make sure there is enough time for the photographs that matter while allowing you to actually enjoy your day.
You Don’t Need to Know How to Pose
One of the most common things I hear from couples is that they feel awkward in front of the camera.
You don’t need any experience.
During portraits, I’ll give you clear guidance with posture, hand placement, positioning, and movement so you never have to wonder what you’re supposed to do.
Once you feel comfortable and the interaction between you becomes natural, I step back and give you room to focus on each other.
Throughout the rest of the wedding day, I work more quietly — documenting reactions, conversations, laughter, and moments as they happen.
The result is a balance between photographs that feel polished and moments that feel completely real.
Complimentary Engagement Session
Every wedding collection with 6 hours of coverage or more includes a complimentary 30-minute engagement session.
It’s a relaxed opportunity for us to work together before your wedding day and for you to experience how I guide couples in front of the camera.
For many couples, it also removes a lot of the uncertainty around wedding portraits because by the time the wedding arrives, you already know what working together feels like.
Your engagement photographs can also be used for save-the-dates, invitations, your wedding website, prints, or simply as photographs of this part of your story.
Additional Wedding Photography Coverage
Wedding plans can change.
If you decide you need more time than your original collection includes, additional wedding-day coverage may be available for:
$450 per additional hour
Availability should be confirmed in advance whenever possible.
Do You Need a Second Photographer?
A second photographer is available as an optional add-on, but I don’t believe every wedding automatically needs one.
A second photographer may be helpful when:
- Both partners are getting ready at different locations
- Important moments are happening simultaneously
- You have a larger or more complex timeline
- Your ceremony has restrictions on photographer movement
- You want additional angles and guest coverage
If I think a second photographer would genuinely improve your wedding coverage, I’ll explain why based on your plans.
Planning a Smaller Wedding or Elopement?
A 6-hour wedding collection isn’t necessary for every celebration.
If you’re planning an elopement, Ottawa City Hall ceremony, or intimate wedding, I also offer shorter 3, 4, and 5-hour photography collections designed specifically for smaller wedding days.

My full wedding collections currently begin at $2,800 + HST for 6 hours of photography. Eight-hour coverage is $3,600 + HST, and 10-hour coverage is $4,400 + HST.
For some weddings, absolutely. Six hours can work very well when your ceremony and reception are close together and you don’t need extensive getting-ready or late-evening coverage.
The timeline matters more than the guest count.
For many couples, yes. Eight hours usually provides enough flexibility to photograph several parts of the day without needing complete morning-to-night coverage.
Ten hours is especially useful for weddings with multiple locations, travel between venues, longer timelines, or couples who want both morning preparations and more of the evening reception photographed.
Yes. All wedding collections of 6 hours or more include a complimentary 30-minute engagement session.
Yes, subject to availability. Additional coverage is $450 per hour.
