Welcome to my Photography FAQ section — here I’ve gathered the most common things people ask me about, from how to book a session to when you’ll receive your photos.

How can I book a photoshoot?

You can choose and book a date and time through the form in my online calendar on the website.

Is a deposit required to confirm the booking?

Yes. The payment is divided into two parts:

  • First payment (50%) – Your booking is considered confirmed after a 50% non-refundable deposit is made via e-transfer to tche.noir@gmail.com (or cash, if agreed in advance) within 24 hours of booking.

  • Second payment (50%) – The remaining balance must be paid on the day of the photoshoot.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept e-transfer to tche.noir@gmail.com or cash.
Any other payment methods must be agreed upon in advance in writing.
Final images are delivered only once full payment has been received.

Can I reschedule or cancel the photoshoot?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel by notifying me as early as possible. Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

What happens to my deposit if I cancel or reschedule?

The deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a new date or used for a different type of photoshoot within 3 months from the original session date.

What happens if the photographer cancels the session?

If the session is canceled due to my fault (illness, emergency, etc.), all payments (including the deposit) will be refunded in full.

What should I do if I'm late for the photoshoot?

Please try to arrive on time. Being late may shorten the session time without refund or may require rescheduling at my discretion.

Can I request specific looks or locations for the photoshoot?

Yes, any special requests regarding outfits, locations, poses, or creative ideas should be communicated in advance or during the session if feasible.

Can I extend the photoshoot time?

Yes, if I am available, the session can be extended for an additional fee according to the hourly rate of the selected package.

How will I receive my photos after the session?

Photos will be delivered through a secure online gallery.

How long does it take to process the photos?
  • Mini & Portrait Sessions: up to 2 weeks

  • Event Sessions: up to 2 weeks

  • Weddings: sneak peeks (up to 10 images) within 24–48 hours, full gallery within up to 2 months

All images must be downloaded within 3 months; after that, they may be removed. The client is responsible for backing up all delivered files.

Can I use the photos for commercial purposes?

No. The photos are licensed for personal use only (albums, printing, sharing on social media with credit).
Commercial use or resale requires a separate agreement.

Do you offer gift certificates for photoshoots?

Yes, I offer gift certificates. Please contact me for more information.

What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?

If the weather is unfavorable, we can reschedule or move the session indoors.

Can I bring pets to my photoshoot?

Yes, pets are welcome, but please inform me in advance to ensure the location is suitable.

What should I wear to the photoshoot?

I will help you choose the perfect look for your session and send you a detailed guide tailored to your style and the specific conditions of the shoot.

Do you deliver RAW or unedited photos?

No, I do not deliver RAW or unedited images. Final images are carefully selected and edited to reflect my artistic style.

How many photos will I get?

The number of final edited images depends on the package you choose.

Do you charge travel fees?

Travel within Ottawa & Gatineau is included. For locations outside this area, additional travel fees may apply.

Will my photos be shared online?

Selected images may be used in my portfolio, website, or social media, unless you request otherwise in writing.
